What is Physics Study Town?
Physics Study Town is an online study platform for IB Physics students, at both Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL). It offers over 550 exam-style questions with mark schemes, step-by-step video explanations, mock and prediction exams, data booklet lessons and guidance for the Internal Assessment (IA).
What makes Physics Study Town different?
Alongside the mark scheme, most questions come with a step-by-step video explanation, presented by IB teachers or former IB students. The videos focus on the method behind each answer and on how marks are awarded, so you learn how to approach similar questions in the exam.
What resources are available in Physics Study Town?
Physics Study Town offers the following resources for SL and HL:
i.) Question Bank: exam-style questions organised by syllabus topic, so you can focus on the areas you want to improve.
ii.) Mock Exams: full practice exams for SL and HL. Each exam contains Paper 1A (multiple choice), Paper 1B (data-based questions) and Paper 2 (short- and extended-response questions).
iii.) Prediction Exams: practice exams written in anticipation of the final IB exams.
iv.) Data Booklet: video lessons in which an IB Physics teacher explains how and when to use the formulas for each topic.
v.) Help with IA: video guidance on planning, carrying out and writing up the Physics Internal Assessment.
What is included in the free material provided by Physics Study Town?
With a free account you get the first SL and HL mock exams (over 80 questions), the question bank for topic A (Space, time and motion) and uncertainties, the data booklet lessons for topic A, and the first part of the IA guidance.
What subscription options do we offer?
We offer three subscription plans: monthly, 6 months and annual. All plans give access to the same content; they differ only in billing period and price. Current prices are shown on the subscription plans page.
What devices can I use Physics Study Town on?
Physics Study Town works on phones, tablets and computers, although we recommend a laptop or desktop for longer study sessions and full mock exams.
How do I upgrade to a subscription?
Log in, open "Become Pro", choose a plan and complete the payment on the secure Stripe checkout page, where you can also apply a promotion code if you have one. Your subscription is activated as soon as the payment is confirmed. Subscribers can manage their subscription from the "Manage subscription" option in the account menu.
